Welcome to my corner. My journey of helping seniors began at a young age, assisting my mom at a private retirement home at the age of 7/8. Then in high school caring for my grandma diagnosed with ALS. This experience ignited a passion in me, leading me to work as a pharmacy technician while continuing my education. After a life-altering fall, I embraced my calling to create "Grandma's House," a dream inspired by my early experiences. With over 12 plus years experience in LTC, Retirement Home Care, In Home Care; I know I can help you and your family navigate through life's challenges. Our Team can help families who have diagnoses of Dementia or a type of it such as Lewy body, vascular, Alzheimer's or other. Call for a Home Visit Today. I come with a helper who is a certified PSW or if you need a Nurse assessment, I can set that up. We are a small Team able to assist you in what you need. This is the daily activities of daily living; companionship, grooming, bathing and dressing, meal prep for one meal or for several meals; with light household duties. we also help make lists, check calendars, make sure meds are taken, exercises or movement is done, make phone calls to family, friends or for appointments. 3 hrs is best especially if shower and meal is to be given.

Nurse
Directed Care
Welcome to our nursing care service, where our dedicated Registered Nurses are here to provide compassionate support for individuals transitioning from hospital care or those with special needs. Our nursing staff will visit your home to assess your situation and facilitate communication with doctors and pharmacies. We offer flexible options for consultations, including phone conversations and video conference appointments, ensuring you receive the care you need in a way that suits you best. Your health and comfort are our top priorities.
Hospice
Support
We integrate a palliative appproach into care by the PSW focusing on comfort, pain management, emotioanl support. Communicating always with family and health team. We have a Certified Death Doula who is trained non medical professional who will providse emotional,physical and educational support, often preparing the soul for departure from body. Prayer can be done, singing or soft music with natural oils sometimes being used. (extra charge for this service)
Palliative nurse can also be hired and be present in body for a visit, or by a phone call or by video. (This is also considered a special service and has a diff fee) This can be a few hours visit to keep make sure client not alone or can be many hours including overnight to a few days. Hospice can be set up in client home or other arrangement besides the actual Hospice in your community.
Meal Prep & Home Helper
Proper nutrition and maintaining a balanced diet become more important as we age. We keep our eyes open for stale or rotten food, outdated food. Meal prep includes different levels of assistance of hot and nutritious meals (allowing client to assist if possible) this can be online ordering, our team shopping for you, you coming out with us to shop. Light houskeeping included in this time if time permits. 2-4 hours needed
Transportation
We can help you get to a appointment in town or make arrangements for you to travel to Toronto. (this has to be set up well in advance). We can pick you up and drop you off at family, friends for visit. We can accompany you in a vehicle to an appointment and help you into the building to be signed in and then wait with you.
